A new photo circulating online is sparking outrage after fans spotted one of Pop Smoke’s convicted killers wearing the late rapper’s merchandise. The image, which shows 21-year-old Corey Walker in a Pop Smoke “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” hoodie, quickly went viral online.
Walker is currently serving time for his role in the 2020 murder of Pop Smoke during a home invasion in Los Angeles. He was the only adult among the four teens charged in the case and reportedly acted as the getaway driver. In April 2024, Walker accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 4 years in a juvenile facility and 6 more in state prison.

The photo has sparked backlash across social media, with many calling it disrespectful and tone-deaf. Some fans are questioning how and why Walker even had access to the merch in the first place.
Pop Smoke’s legacy continues to grow within hip-hop, and moments like this only add fuel to the ongoing pain felt by his family, friends, and supporters.
