According to a tweet that surfaced today, Pharrell was working on an official Louis Vuitton collaboration with A$AP Rocky until the whole thing reportedly got shelved. The tweet didn’t go into full detail but claimed the project fell apart due to complications behind the scenes.

Pharrell was appointed Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director in February 2023, stepping into the role after Virgil Abloh’s passing. Since then, he’s showcased several collections and brought a new energy to the brand. An A$AP Rocky collab under his vision seemed like a natural fit, especially considering their longtime creative relationship and Rocky’s heavy presence in the fashion world.

While it’s unclear exactly what led to the cancellation, fans were quick to react online. Some were surprised a collab didn’t happen sooner, while others pointed fingers at rumored internal drama.
Ian Connor, who’s had an on-and-off feud with Rocky for years, replied to the tweet with, “Back To The Slums Of Puma and Ray Ban You Go F*ck N***a..” The two have had public tension dating back to the late 2010s, though neither party has fully unpacked the details.
