Ron Faris, former head of Nike’s SNKRS app, is officially joining Disney. He’s been named Senior Vice President of Consumer Products Marketing, overseeing brand strategy, creative, and go-to-market planning across Disney’s portfolio of franchises.
His role is focused on helping the company connect with fans through product drops, global campaigns, and immersive brand experiences, similar to what he helped pioneer at Nike.

At Nike, Faris led SNKRS through a major digital shift, using data and limited releases to build hype. He helped scale SNKRS from $60M to over $1B in just four years. Before that, he was the General Manager of the company’s NYC digital studio and helped launch initiatives like NikeLive and Nike’s House of Innovation stores. He also previously served as CEO of Virgin Mega, which Nike acquired in 2016.

His move to Disney comes as the company looks to expand the reach of its consumer products business globally, especially around major IP like Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and the Disney Princess line.
Faris is set to bring a more modern, streetwear-like approach to how Disney connects with fans around the world.
