Lil Yachty is making it clear he’s done with Rick Owens. Over the last month, the Atlanta rapper has taken shots at the designer not once, but twice.
The first came in his recent track I Need Meds, where Yachty rapped, “y’all done burnt it, I’m donating Rick. I can’t wear it no more, dat shit dead.” A direct statement suggesting the once-coveted label has gotten too popular and lost its appeal.
Now, Yachty has doubled down. During a Twitch stream with PlaqueBoyMax last night, he previewed an unreleased song with another jab: “everything chrome, I don’t wear Rick.”
This marks the second time in just 30 days that Yachty has distanced himself from Rick Owens, making it clear the brand no longer in his rotation.
Whether it’s a genuine shift in his personal style or just a way to stir conversation, one thing’s for sure: Lil Boat isn’t rocking Rick anytime soon.
