Reese LaFlare isn’t holding back. After Supreme and Zoo York revealed their upcoming capsule, the rapper and skater took to social media to call out the brand for shelving the work he created while serving as Creative Director in 2024.
In a post on X, Reese revealed that he had designed an entire collection for Zoo York before his departure, claiming the pieces he developed with his team were “smoking all this sh*t.”
He says the project never saw the light of day after Snipes acquired the brand and suggests that leadership didn’t know what to do with the vision he brought to the table. A video in the tweet even shows a concept board that includes his name listed as creative director and a planned Spring 2024 release.

His reaction comes as many fans online have expressed disappointment in the new Supreme x Zoo York collaboration, criticizing it for playing it safe and lacking personality. The current collection features hoodies, graphic tees, soccer jerseys, denim, and accessories built around a transit-themed design, with Zoo York and Supreme branding throughout.
Reese’s comments sparked a wave of support, with many calling for Zoo York to bring him back to help revive the brand’s original energy.
Given his background in music, skating, and fashion, and the momentum behind his unreleased work, it’s a valid question: did Zoo York fumble by cutting him too soon?
