Magoo’s LA, a streetwear resale shop recently reopened in Hollywood after losing its original location to the Palisades Fire, was hit with another devastating setback this week. Early Tuesday morning, the store was burglarized.
The break-in occurred around 4 a.m. at the new location on 1050 Cahuenga Blvd. Surveillance footage provided by store owner Jacob Maged shows multiple suspects rushing through the boutique, ransacking different rooms, and making off with merchandise. While LAPD hasn’t confirmed what was stolen, the chaotic scene left the shop in shambles. “This hurts more than losing my store in the fire,” Maged told KTLA. “It’s one of the most painful things I’ve ever felt.”

On Instagram, Maged expressed heartbreak and frustration with his store’s followers. “Can’t believe I have to make a post like this, especially after what happened to our Palisades store a few months ago,” he wrote. “It breaks my heart to say that my store was broken into and robbed. Unfortunately, we will be closed for the foreseeable future.”
He also urged other business owners to boost their security, saying, “It’s always better to be overprotected than underprotected, as I’ve learned.”
Magoo’s original location in Pacific Palisades was destroyed in the fire earlier this year. No arrests have been made in connection to the burglary, and LAPD has not shared additional details.
