Moncler has partnered with Tobe Nwigwe, a Houston-based rapper and artist, to release a special edition of its Trailgrip sneaker, named the Trailgrip Momint. This collaboration draws inspiration from the mint green aesthetic associated with Nwigwe’s 2022 album, moMINTs.
The Trailgrip Momint features a combination of leather, suede, and nubuck materials in a mint-colored upper. It includes tonal “Chukwu” stitching, reflecting Nwigwe’s Nigerian heritage. The sneaker is equipped with GORE-TEX elements for weather resistance, Ortholite insoles for comfort, and Vibram Megagrip outsoles for traction, making it suitable for various terrains.

Accompanying the sneaker’s release is a campaign showcasing Nwigwe with his wife and children, all dressed in Moncler attire. The family is depicted in a forest setting, traveling in a vintage Mercedes-Benz that complements the collection’s color scheme.
Tobe Nwigwe, born Tobechukwu Dubem Nwigwe, is known for his unique blend of hip-hop infused with elements of gospel and Nigerian culture. Raised in Houston’s Alief neighborhood by Nigerian immigrant parents, Nwigwe initially pursued a career in football before an injury redirected his path toward music. He gained recognition through his weekly “Get Twisted Sundays” video series and has since performed at notable events, including NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. Nwigwe’s work often emphasizes themes of purpose, family, and cultural identity.
The Trailgrip Momint sneaker is set for a limited release on May 31 through Moncler’s official channels.
